
The Indonesian logistics and transportation industry achieved a new milestone with the successful holding of the 2025 Indonesian Logistics and Transport Award (ILTA) at the National Library Auditorium in Jakarta. This inaugural awards event represents a significant milestone in driving new standards for logistics and transportation companies in the country.
The ILTA selection process was lengthy, taking approximately 4–5 months, and involved rigorous assessment by a panel of judges led by national logistics expert Dr. Irvandi. From hundreds of participants, 18 top companies were selected to receive awards in various categories, including Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Safety & Security, Operational Efficiency, ESG implementation, and best leadership. Encouraging a More Inclusive, Green, and Globally Competitive Industry: ILTA's primary goal is not simply to provide recognition but also to encourage transformation. Assessments focus on sustainability, ESG implementation, green logistics, safety and security, leadership, and digitalization. Nurmaria Sarosa, Chairperson of WiLAT Indonesia and event initiator, emphasized the importance of award platforms like ILTA in building a culture of quality. "This activity is expected to be a positive step towards improving the standards of logistics and transportation services in Indonesia," he said.
Ministry of Transportation Expresses Appreciation: Sustainable, Concrete Action Must Be Necessary. Capt. Yufridon Gandoz Situmeang, Expert Staff for Logistics and Multimodal at the Ministry of Transportation, expressed his full appreciation for the implementation of ILTA. He emphasized that this event must be sustainable and encourage the industry to be more adaptive and competitive. "This activity is very important. We hope there will be ongoing, concrete action that will have a direct impact on the logistics and transportation industry," he said. Human Resources Are Key: Encouragement from Industry Players The importance of strengthening human resource quality was also highlighted by Tara Hidayat, Director of Human Capital at PT Samudera Indonesia. He believes that human resources are the foundation for maintaining Indonesian logistics services that meet global standards. "Human resource development must be a priority so that our logistics industry services become more competitive," he explained.
Inaugural Event Projected to Become an Annual Event As its inaugural event, ILTA 2025 has attracted the attention of many industry players. This award is expected to be a sustainable event that is able to: raise the standards of logistics and transportation companies strengthen ESG commitments encourage technological innovation and digitalization increase global competitiveness ILTA 2025 opens a new chapter of change in the Indonesian logistics industry towards a more modern, inclusive, and sustainable ecosystem.
